If you’ve never read Virginia Woolf’s A Room of One’s Own, READ IT—that’s an order (it’s mysteriously become one of those books that people title-reference and assume they know what it’s about without ever having read it. Be the person who has actually read it). Anyhoo. The point is that for those who are under the impression that women have been free for a long while (or are completely free now), the historical record tells a different tale. Recent historical record. I don’t care to be labeled a feminist or anything else. It’s just nice to understand a little bit about the actual history and reflect.
